What it is and what it is for#
The admin panel is the same application the employee uses, with extra menus that only some people see. There is no separate website and no separate login: you sign in with your usual account and, depending on your role, more options appear in the top bar.
Everything you configure here applies to a project. If your company has several, you switch project and the contents of the panel change with it.
The menu is grouped into three blocks:
Explore
What any employee sees: their challenges, the store, the directory, the recognition wall.
Manage
Where content is created and maintained: people, journeys, rewards, news, surveys.
Analyse
The dashboards: participation, points, surveys, comments, logins.
Explore is seen by everyone. Manage and Analyse only appear if your account has administration permissions. If you cannot see them, your role does not include them.
How to set it up#
This block is not configured: it is the map of the panel. What you do decide is who gets in.
Who sees each block#

The manager is not a cut-down administrator: it is a different kind of access. They come in to approve what their people do and to see how their team is going, not to configure the programme. If you need someone to create content or to see the analytics for the whole project, they have to be an administrator.

The top bar#
Next to the three menus there is a row of icons that are shortcuts, not sections:
Inbox
Opens the Inbox straight onto the Approvals tab. Managers and administrators see it.
Comments
Opens the Inbox onto the Moderation tab, with a red counter if there is reported content waiting. Only administrators see it.

How it is used day to day#
Explore#
An employee's panel, exactly as it is. It is useful for checking how what you have just configured looks before anyone else sees it.
- Home — the front page, with the progress and the home cards.
- Challenges — the challenge wall.
- Questionnaires — pending surveys and quizzes.
- Directory — the list of people on the project.
- Recognition wall — the recognition people give each other.
- Redemption store — the catalogue with the available balance.
Manage#
Users
Users, Blocked users, Pre-users, Organisations, Locations, User Points, Tribes, Eligibility Groups, Challenge Assignment and Comments.
This is where the workforce roster lives, and everything that segments it: the organisational structure, the locations, the tribes and the eligibility groups. See Users and roles.
Journeys

The log of logins and failed attempts, and the list of blocked accounts.
Analyse#

Almost all the dashboards start out empty and come with a button to load the data (Refresh Data, Generate Data or Update, depending on the screen). If you see a blank screen, the usual explanation is that you have not pressed the button yet, not that there is no data.
FAQs#
I cannot see Manage or Analyse. Is it broken?
No. Those menus only appear if your account is an administrator or an owner. Ask whoever runs the project; the change applies the next time you sign in.
Do administrators see all the company's projects?
No. An administrator works on the project they are in. If you manage several, you have to switch project to see the content of the other one.
Can I see the app exactly as an employee sees it?
With Explore you see the same screens, but with your data and your segmentation. To check what reaches one particular person, look at their record in User detail.
Why do some menus not appear for me but do for a colleague?
As well as the role, there are blocks that depend on how the project has been put together: Surveys, for example, only appears if the module is switched on, and Shared Challenges only in projects that use it.
Where do you change the colours and the logo?
In the project's brand settings, not in these menus. See Branding.
Limits and warnings#
- Role changes are not retroactive on an open session. If you have just made someone an administrator, they have to sign in again to see the new menus.
- A good part of the management tables have untranslated column headers. It is cosmetic: the data is correct and the columns are explained on each module's page.
- Editing a cell in the management tables saves immediately. There is no save button and no confirmation: if you touch a cell by mistake, correct it just as quickly.
- Everything you do here is on real people's data. There is no test environment inside the panel: what you publish is seen.
- The Analyse dashboards are read-only. To change something you have to go to the corresponding module in Manage.
