The hierarchy#
- 1
Company
Your organisation. It holds the branding, the organisational structure, the locations and all the users.
- 2
Project
An initiative with its own audience, its own language and its own points economy. The same company can have several projects running at once (for example, Onboarding and New store model).
- 3
Journey
A route with a beginning and an end inside a project.
- 4
Challenge
The specific task a person completes. It is the only thing that awards points.
Terms that come up again and again#
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Challenge | A task. It has points, a way of being completed and, optionally, dates and prerequisites. |
| Points | The currency of the programme. They are earned by completing challenges and by receiving recognition, and they are spent in the store. |
| Tribe | A team within a project, with its lead. It is used to compete, segment and compare. |
| Organisational structure | The org chart: who reports to whom. It determines which manager approves what. |
| Location | The physical site (store, plant, office) the person belongs to. |
| Peer recognition | Points that people give each other out of a monthly wallet. |
| Streak | Consecutive days or weeks of activity. It rewards consistency, not volume. |
Points earned and balance are not the same thing. Points earned are the accumulated total and they feed the ranking; the balance is what is left after spending in the store. Redeeming a reward never lowers your position in the ranking.
